2016 Nissan Titan XD Gets Measured for SEMA
Aftermarket Teams Up To Outfit New Truck
The term “measuring session” may not have much context to the average Joe, but for the aftermarket and enthusiasts, it’s a critical step in creating an established supplier aftermarket supplier base to offer customization options for as soon as a vehicle hits the market. One of the most anticipated models in the truck segment right now is the 2016 Nissan Titan XD, with a large part of that excitement centered on its available 5.0L Cummins V-8 diesel engine. To showcase the vehicle’s customization potential, Nissan partnered with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) to make the new truck available to aftermarket accessory manufacturers to allow them to prototype new products for the truck.
The culmination of that collaboration is making its debut at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week in the form of the “Measured for Success” Titan, which features components from Icon Vehicle Dynamics (lift kit), Fab Fours (bumpers), Banks Power (intake), Magnaflow (exhaust), Westin (running boards), T-Rex (grille), EGR (fender flares), Baja Designs (LED lighting), KMC (wheels), Toyo Tires, ARB (refrigerator), Warn (winch), and Hi-Lift (jack).
In addition to the Measured for Success truck, Nissan will showcase two other Titan XD’s at the show, including one showcasing more than 50 dealer-installed accessories that will be available for the Titan XD. That truck will also be connected to a gooseneck hitch showing yet another customized Titan XD that will be revealed at Nissan’s press conference on Tuesday.
