UPDATED: Jeep Announces Very Limited Run of Wrangler Red Rock Edition
Special-Edition Model Commemorates 50th Anniversary of Jeep Safari
There are special editions, and then there are special editions. With only 50 units officially scheduled for series production, the Wrangler Red Rock edition solidly falls into the latter category. The extremely limited production run is to commemorate 50 years of the Moab Easter Jeep Safari, one of the most anticipated and iconic events in the off-roading world. The Red Rock will feature unique livery and trim, but fear not, the hardware beneath is fundamentally the same as the Wrangler Rubicon. Other hardware items features on the Red Rock will also be offered as Mopar dealer-sold or installed accessories.
So what exactly sets the Wrangler Red Rock apart from the run of the Toledo mill? A commemorative Red Rock badge and hood decal, low-gloss Jeep badge, low-gloss Granite Crystal off-road bumpers, and a body-color grille with low-gloss black throats and headlamp accents highlight the exterior accents. Other hardware on the concept includes a 2-inch lift kit, 17-inch beadlock wheels with 35-inch BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires, LED headlights and fog lights, and a Jeep-branded CB radio. Aftermarket goodies showcased on the concept include a Warn winch, front and rear differential covers, and a reinforced swing gate and spare tire mount.
On the inside, the Red Rock features Amaretto Brown Katzkin leather seats with silver stitching and an embroidered “Red Rock” seatback logo. A serialized Red Rock grab handle plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari.
