GM Launches Factory Pre-Owned Collection
If you’re in the market for a used Chevy or GMC, there’s a new marketplace just for you: GM’s Factory Pre-Owned Collection. This database will allow you to look for former GM leases, rentals, and company-owned vehicles, all with low mileage (the collection doesn’t allow more than 37,000 miles). Plus, they’ll have an extended factory bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. Prepare yourself for some fun researching, since it’s a pot of about 30,000 vehicles nationwide.

Ford and GM Shake Their Moneymakers
Ford had a reason to be pretty peppy as 2015 came to an end. Its total U.S. sales were up 5 percent, with the F-series grabbing the title of best-selling pickup for 39 years in a row. It also saw itself become the best-selling vehicle for 34 consecutive years. And you know how GM ended 2015? With its best December sales since 2006 and highest retail sales since 2005, with truck sales up 10 percent. Even the Silverado had a cheers moment—its highest December since 2005. GMC saw good news for its trucks, too—up 23 percent, with the Sierra rising 17 percent.

Know Which Automaker Has the Most Loyal Customers?
For 20 years now, IHS Automotive has been awarding the Automotive Loyalty Awards, which crowns brands that have customer retention (it’s factual, not emotional). It has to do with the math behind people buying a new vehicle from the same brand they’d just bought. In fact, customers fall into two categories: Super Loyalist (returning three times) and Loyalists (the two-fers). So, who scored the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer nod? GM. Ford was the tops for Overall Loyalty to Make.

What You Need to Know about FordPass
Ford has developed FordPass, which allows members to talk to “mobility assistants,” called FordGuides, to “help resolve their mobility challenges,” according to the Blue Oval. This might mean getting help with booking parking in advance, or just how to get around via ride sharing. It will launch in April, so watch for catchphrases such as FordPay (a virtual wallet, said Ford), FordPass Marketplace, FordHubs, and FordPass Appreciation. It’ll be free to have a membership to FordPass; the fee for services is where FordPay will come in.

The project is being developed by Audi right now.
