Pricing Announced for Non-Diesel Nissan Titan XD
Models Priced Exactly $5,000 Less than Diesel Equivalent
There’s no question the availability of the Cummins 5.0L V-8 in the 2016 Nissan Titan XD created the most buzz in the enthusiast community. However, based on predominant trends in the segment, we expect the majority of sales to be that of the gas-powered model. Although there’s plenty cool about the Cummins-powered XD, buyers will have ample reason to give the gas model consideration, with a price tag $5,000 cheaper than the equivalent Cummins model.
For the time being, all XD models are a crew cab configuration with a 6.5-foot bed. King (extended) and regular cabs are expected in the near future. That means you could get into a two-wheel-drive Titan XD for as little as $36,485, including $1,195 destination. Four-wheel-drive adds between $3,000 to each respective trim, except the top-of-the-line Platinum Reserve, which adds $3,050 to the bottom line to upgrade to four-wheel drive.
The Pro-4x trim, offered only in four-wheel drive, is the happy medium of the group, offering many comfort and convenience features and the most available option packages, including the Utility & Audio, Convenience, and Luxury Packages. The 5.6L Endurance gas V-8 will join the Cummins XD in showrooms early spring 2016. All gas-powered XDs will be equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
