After unveiling the Texas Ranger Ram 1500 concept at last years Dallas Auto Show, the team from Ram announced the Texas-only Ram 1500 Yellow Rose Edition pickup at this year’s show.
The 2016 Yellow Rose 1500 is a Lone Star Edition Ram that features the bold Stinger Yellow paint color with Texas state badging. This crew cab 1500 will be offered in either two-wheel or four-wheel drive and for sale exclusively in the Texas market.

This truck gets its name from a mid-19th century folk song that became a 1995 Billboard number one hit The Yellow Rose of Texas by artist Mitch Miller. This truck will be sure to bring back fond memories for Texans when they see the name and bright paint that covers this Ram.
It may seem crazy to have a special-edition truck for just one state, but considering Texans drive more trucks than any other state -- 1 in 5 vehicles sold in Texas is a truck -- it makes a lot more sense. Ram sells almost 2.5 times as many pickups in Texas than it does in its next highest volume state. Head of Ram Truck brand, Mike Manley, get’s it, saying, “Texas is truck country … and we’re committed to building products that resonate with our customers. The importance of the Texas truck market cannot be overstated. That’s why the Ram Truck brand has worked year after year to deliver hard-working trucks that serve the communities across the Lone Star state.”
