Entries Open for 2016 Optima Ultimate Film Festival

Two Extra Season Events Lead to Finale at SEMA 2016

Apr 8, 2016
Entries opened today for the 2016 Optima Ultimate Film Festival, giving enthusiasts the chance to see their own short films or action-camera content on the big screen.
Thanks to the successful SEMA Show debut of the first film festival last year, Optima will add two more events to its calendar. The regional events are tied to Formula Drift in June and the Woodward Dream Cruise in August, leading up to the festival’s finale at the 2016 SEMA Show in November.

The Optima Ultimate Film Festival is no stranger to trucks and off-road antics. Embedded below are two of the short film entries from last year’s event, which feature loads of diesel-fired tire smoke and off-road rooster tails. The other films from the event were fantastic as well, with a variety of content. Our favorites were generally in the Action Cam category, as they showed many of the intricacies involved in motorsports, and some were pretty humorous as well.
So if you’ve got an idea for a video, bust out the camera. The deadline for the June event is May 20, while the Woodward Dream Cruise’s submission deadline is July 22. Entries for both of those events, as well as any new submissions after those deadlines, will be considered for the SEMA Show finale, and the cutoff for that event is September 30.

Any video entered must include previously unreleased content, and there are length limits as well. For full details, hit up the Optima Film Festival website. We’ll be at the SEMA Show this November, and we want to see a lot of truck and off-road content, so get cracking!
