Nissan Reveals Special-Edition Titan and Titan XD at State Fair of Texas
Texas Titan Pays Tribute to Lone Star State
Texas is one of the largest markets for pickup trucks in the world, with more pickups sold there than in some whole countries. As such, it’s a battleground state for truck manufacturers keen on courting the Texas vote.
To that end, Nissan will offer an all-new “Texas Titan” to shoppers in the Lone Star State, giving them versions of the Titan and Titan XD loaded with extra features. Like Texas-specific offerings from Ram and Ford, the Texas Titan comes with a chromed-out grille, chrome 20-inch wheels, and unique badging. On top of that, the Titan adds more shiny stuff to the exhaust finishers, with metallic kick plates and Texas Titan floor mats rounding out the changes.
With the Titan XD becoming a favorite for Texans and the Titan just now hitting the marketplace, the Texas-themed pickup will be good for Nissan dealers trying to make their mark in the pickup segment. The Texas Titan will be available as a crew cab, with either four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive. The package will be available on the SV and SL grades of both the Titan and Titan XD. Texas Titans will only be available with the 5.6L Endurance V-8, while Texas Titan XD shoppers will be able to option up from that engine to the 5.0L Cummins turbodiesel V-8.
