Ford, Reebok Team Up to Take Fitness on the Road
Ford Transit Takes Fitness Celebrities on East Coast Tour
It seems like we’re living in a round-the-clock, drive-through world. One of the biggest reasons given for not getting enough exercise is “there’s not enough time in the day” or “the gym’s always crowded.” Ford and fitness-apparel-maker Reebok are teaming up to show that you can exercise anytime, anywhere with a little imagination and changing everyday habits. Four fitness celebrities, Emily Skye, Jamie Eason, Ashley Horner, Cory Gregory, and “Silent Mike” Farr are embarking on an East Coast tour visiting four cities, giving fitness demonstrations with pop-up events, fitness boot camps, and wellness clinics.
Helping the campaign hit the road is a specially outfitted Ford Transit 250 equipped with the 3.2L Power Stroke diesel engine. The high-roof fan was transformed into the “Fit Truck” with the help of upfitters TransitWorks and Adrian Steel. The van is fitted with four removable seats and a custom floor, headliner and partition to allow for transporting fitness equipment and passengers.
The 2016 tour will kick off in Boston on October 20 through 21 and then continues to New York City, Washington D.C., Virginia Beach, Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, and ends up in Columbus, Ohio. You can follow the campaign on social media with the hashtag #FitTruck.
