Best-Selling Crossover Gets Power, Equipment Upgrades
Nissan announced updates to its 2017 Pathfinder three-row crossover earlier this year. It was just a matter of time until similar updates were announced for its upscale platform-mate, the Infiniti QX60. We finally have that information. The 2017 Infiniti QX60 will start at $44,095 for the front-drive model, including $995 destination, with the all-wheel-drive model starting at $45,895, including destination. The 2017 model gets a direct-injected 3.5L V-6 making 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, representing a 30hp and 22–lb-ft increase over the 2016 model, and 11 hp and 11 lb-ft more than the 2017 Pathfinder, thanks to a calibration for premium fuel. A continuously variable automatic transmission remains standard on all models.
Other upgrades for 2017 include a new Infiniti InTouch navigation and entertainment system, with available Infiniti InTouch services with vehicle health report, and voice recognition. The available Theater Package has dual 8-inch monitors, a 12-volt power point, audio/video-capable USB port, and an HDMI port. A complimentary three-month, 2GB WiFi data trial is included with the Theater Package. A 15-speaker Bose Cabin Surround sound system is also available. The Deluxe Technology Package adds a motion-activated liftgate, auto high-beam assist, and auto side-dimming mirrors. The 2017 QX60 is on sale now at Infiniti dealers nationwide.
