Transamerican, Bass Pro Shops Team Up on SEMA Tundra Build
“Ultimate Sportsman” Tundra Will Be Built at Show
Even with months of advanced planning and coordination, it’s hard enough to build a project vehicle for the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. However, building one on-site during the show takes the level of challenge to whole other realm. That’s just what Transamerican Auto Parts is going to do in collaboration with Bass Pro Shops, one of the leading outdoor retailers in the U.S. A brand-new stock 2016 Toyota Tundra SR5 will be delivered to the show, at which point Transamerican will take the truck and transform it during the week-long show.
Among the planned upgrades are parts from Transamerican brands Pro Comp wheels and tires and Smittybilt, in the form of an Adventure Box, as well as components from aftermarket partners Magnaflow Exhaust, Rigid Industries, All-Pro Off-Road, Bedslide, AMP Research, and Yeti coolers. The truck will also receive an interior upgrade, as well as TrueTimber’s “Urban Viper” vehicle wrap. Following the truck’s completion, the Tundra will appear at multiple truck and off-road enthusiast events nationwide. The truck will ultimately be given away as part of a joint national marketing campaign between Transamerican, 4 Wheel Parts, and Bass Pro Shops. 2016 SEMA Show attendees can see the truck being built live at booth 62112 in the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience Area outside South Hall in the Silver Lot.
