2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Inquiries Trending SuperCrew, Tech Package
Build and Price Configurator Heavily Favoring Well-Equipped SuperCrew
Much like its predecessor, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is one of the most eagerly anticipated new truck models to come out in a long time. Just more than a week ago, Ford opened up the build and price configurator on its site for the new Raptor. So far, the configurations are showing an overwhelming potential customer preference for the SuperCrew configuration (91 percent) with the Luxury Group and Tech Package.
Online configurations don’t always necessarily translate into sales. However, these trends are not a huge surprise considering the crew cab configuration is dominant in the midsize and fullsize truck market overall. The build and price configurator for the Raptor has received more than 90,000 hits in its first 10 days. Nearly one third of those have resulted in completed builds. According to Ford, many of its dealers are already receiving phone calls inquiring about the availability and on-sale date of the new Raptor. The top markets as identified by the online configurator are Texas, California and Florida.
A Raptor SuperCrew with the Luxury Group and Tech Packages retails for $61,850, including $1,195 destination. Adding Adaptive Cruise, factory spray-in bedliner, stowable loading ramps, FORD block-letter tailgate applique, and optional 17-inch forged beadlock-ready wheels brings the total to an eyebrow-raising $66,925. Although discouraged by the OEMs, Some dealers will probably ask substantially higher than MSRP for early orders. How would you configure your Raptor? If you want to find out for yourself, click here.
