Slow Start For Hybrids

Sales of GM's hybrids were off to a slow start earlier this year, part of the general economic fallout, rising gasoline prices, and part-supply constraints on the higher-mileage belt-drive hybrids used on some Chevy and Saturn cars and crossovers. By June, the Tahoe/Yukon had a $4000 loyal customer incentive. Meanwhile, Chrysler says its HEV Durango and Aspen may not go to all dealers, a wise move given the price and primary economy benefit in the city.
