Coming out of Continental's award-winning Mount Vernon, Illinois plant is its new HDL2 DL truck tire, built specifically in response to truck tire customers' requests for a long-lasting tire. The HDL2 DL, an acronym for Heavy Drive Long-Haul Deep Lug, was designed for maximum mileage and should fare well in today's truck market where getting the most bang for the buck is key.
Features built into the HDL2 DL to ensure maximum mileage out of the tire include deeper tread, a closed-shoulder tread design, an innovative lug angle, wider casing, and patented groove technology. The tire tread measures a full inch (32/32 in.), the deepest truck tread depth offered by Continental. The closed-shoulder tread design resists irregular tire wear, while providing excellent traction in dry and wet conditions road conditions. Excellent traction is also provided by the innovative lug angle, and the wider casing helps increase handling stability. The patented groove technology helps keep foreign objects out of the tire read, which reduces punctures and penetrations.
