If you thought the original H1 Hummer was pretty cool, check out the latest off-roader coming from Abu Dhabi. The two models seen here are called the Bodyguard - 700 and V-Guard and are built by Alanqa Motor Company as part of the automaker's new lineup of rugged military-spec and civilian models.

With a Corvette-sourced 620-hp 7.4L V-8 under the hood (yes, it's highly modified), the vehicles are said to sprint to 62 mph in around 7.0-sec. Despite its hefty 5291 lbs curb weight and an 8819 lbs load capacity, the models can still hit a claimed top speed of 130.5 mph. A two-speed transfer case, as well as a huge 25.6-in. ground clearance, improves its prowess in multiple types of environments.

Both are slated for world debuts at next week’s Dubai Motor Show and soon after, will likely be produced in batches of 100 per year. Cost? Try around $120,000 to nearly $300,000.
