Nissan Issues Recall on Frontier, Pathfinder, Rogue, and Xterra, Garmin GPS-Equipped Vehicles

Nissan is recalling the Altima, Frontier, Pathfinder, Rogue, Sentra, Versa, and Xterra, at least those with factory-equipped Garmin Nuvi navigation systems. Like last week's Suzuki recall, the batteries in the GPS navigation systems are apparently prone to overheating, which may start a fire.

The Problem: The supplied Garmin Nuvi 750, 760, and 765 portable nav systems' batteries are prone to overheating. A fire may start if the temperatures get hot enough.

The Fix: The free solution will be to replace the batteries and install a spacer in the Nuvi 750, 760, and 765 systems' battery compartment.
Number of Vehicles Affected: To be announced
