2011 Jeep Patriot Gets Refreshed Exterior and Interior
Jeep has refreshed the Patriot small SUV/large hatchback for the 2011 model year.
While the Patriot's exterior has been revised, it's really the interior that needed the most work. To that end, there are improved materials on the center armrest, door trim panels, and new cloth seats.
The 2011 Patriot's redesign is more than just skin deep. Four-wheel-drive models have a ride height increased by 1 inch and the suspension and steering systems have been retuned.
Keen eyes can distinguish the new Patriot from the outgoing model with the 2011 Jeep's body-color grille and repositioned fog lights. Front and rear fascias have been redone and new 17-inch wheels are available.
Jeep says the touch points in the interior are "significantly upgraded" and we're looking forward to testing that claim. Backlighting on door switches, windows, and power mirror controls is also new, as is the multifunction steering wheel.
There's no mention of any powertrain changes, though with Chrysler releasing information on the Jeep Patriot, new Chrysler 200C, and 2011 Chrysler Town & Country today, the automaker may have more in store for us.
