The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is Kind of a Big Deal
The all-new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 has literally taken over the Chrysler Group's World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. A humongous wrap that displays the 470-hp SUV over 10 floors was slapped on the building earlier this week.
Seen in all its glory, the entire Grand Cherokee graphic is 116 wide and 145 feet tall. All other things are just as exaggerated, including: a 65-foot wide, 20-foot tall hood; 27-foot long and 17-foot tall grille; 23-foot wide and 9-foot tall headlights; and a 46-foot wide and 16-foot tall windshield.
But why make such a big deal?
"The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 takes performance to a new level by combining the brand's legendary capability and utility and merging it with the renowned advanced performance engineering from the company's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) team," said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO - SRT Brand.
It's expected 200,000 drivers and passengers that commute along Auburn Hills' Interstate 75 will see this massive interpretation of the performance-oriented Grand Cherokee each day.
