Jeep, Mopar and Katzkin Raffling Custom Wrangler to Promote Land Preservation
50th anniversary of the Tierra Del Sol Four-Wheel-Drive Club's Desert Safari.
Jeep, Mopar, and aftermarket interior manufacturer Katzkin have teamed up with the Tierra Del Sol Four-Wheel-Drive Club of San Diego to promote land preservation in the deserts of the Southwestern United States. The promotion, timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Tierra Del Sol Four-Wheel-Drive Club's Desert Safari, will feature a custom 2012 Jeep Wrangler that'll be raffled off for the cause.
The custom Wrangler, donated by California-based Jeep dealers, is outfitted with a custom Katzkin interior featuring the 50th anniversary logo for the Desert Safari prominently on the headrests. The Wrangler has also been lifted, given new Mopar wheels, and a new bumper. During the next nine months, the Wrangler will be shuttled around Southern California to events promoting the protection of natural resources, family outdoor living, and responsible trail use.
The one-of-a-kind 2012 Wrangler will be raffled off in December at the San Diego International Auto Show. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Tierra Del Sol Four-Wheel-Drive Club's educational tour, and to raise awareness of land-use issues in California and the Southwestern U.S.
