Refreshed 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Destined for New York Show
Scant Details on Mitsu's Smallest SUV - Styling, Suspension Changes Promised
One of the newest models in Mitsubishi's U.S. lineup, the Outlander Sport is already getting a refresh for the 2013 model year. No advanced photos have been released of the new model, but Mitsubishi did reveal a few details on what changes we could expect. The front and rear fascias will be revised, although to what extent, we're not sure. Mitsubishi showed off the next-generation Outlander at the Geneva Show earlier this month, with a totally different look than its predecessor. Will its smaller sibling follow suit, or keep the familiar Lancer Evo-style front grille?
In addition to the exterior changes, Mitsubishi is promising updates to interior styling and equipment, a revised rear suspension, and calibration changes to the continuously-variable transmission. Since it appears this is a mid-cycle refresh rather than an all-new model, we're not expecting extensive mechanical changes, but Mitsubishi could have a surprise or two up its sleeve for the New York auto show. Come back next week to find out!
