Goldmember's G-Wagen - Mercedes-Benz G-Class by GSC
Re-Styled SUV Is Anything But Subtle
If you think the Dartz Pombron Aladeen Edition is pretty sweet, then perhaps you'd be interested in this latest creation of Chemnitz, Germany-based German Special Customs, the GoldStorm GSC Wide Body. Although the Mercedes-Benz G-Class' characteristic tailgate-mounted spare remains, complete with a custom GSC spare cover, two of the G-Class' other iconic styling details are ditched in favor of more...umm...modern elements.
The G-Class' timeless round headlamps have been replaced by rectangular units, while it's the opposite out back, where the G's traditional rectangular taillights have been replaced with round LED units. No mechanical details are given as part of the transformation, indicating the makeover could be applied to any four-door G-Wagen. Interestingly, the G's signature side-exit exhausts appear to have been relocated to the rear of the vehicle.
A specific price for this styling package isn't listed on GSC's Web site, but considering the hood, front and rear bumpers are all crafted from carbon fiber, it's probably a safe assumption to figure the transformation will run in the five-figure range. If you're interested, GSC also offers a styling packages for the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, CLS-Class, and the Lamborghini Aventador.
