NHTSA Investigates Toyota Highlander, RAV4 for Window Switch Fires

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defect Investigations has expanded its investigation into 1.4 million Toyota models, including the Highlander Hybrid and RAV4 SUVs for an unusually high occurrence of fire and thermal events related to power window switch modules. The investigation applies to 2007-2009 model year RAV4s built from September 2006 through August 2008 and all 2008 model Highlander Hybrid models.
