New 2013 Buick Encore Crossover to Carry $24,950 MSRP
2013 Buick Encore Pricing Starts at $24,950
Buick has announced pricing on a new crossover, and we're not talking about the 2013 Enclave. The new 2013 Buick Encore subcompact crossover will cost $24,950 including destination, the automaker says.
Available in four trim levels, the Encore with the Convenience Group goes for $25,760 and adds dual-zone climate control, a 120-volt outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote start, and fog lights. The leather-trimmed Encore starts at $27,460 and includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power front passenger seat. The top-of-the-line 2013 Encore with the Premium Group costs $28,940 and includes front and rear park assist, a seven-speaker premium sound system, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning.

Until then, the Encore's competition includes the new and more expensive BMW X1 ($31,545), while Buick calls out the Volkswagen Tiguan ($23,820) and Mini Countryman ($23,150) as key competitors. It's worth noting that the Volkswagen and Mini come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. Go for an automatic and those prices are more in line with the Buick. The Encore is powered by a 138-hp 1.4-liter turbo I-4 paired to a six-speed automatic, and in front-drive trim is EPA-rated at 25/33 mpg city/highway.
The Buick Encore comes standard with active noise cancellation, a seven-inch LCD screen, a rearview camera, and blue headlight projector rings. As for optional features, navigation costs $795, while a sunroof goes for $800, and 18-inch chrome wheels are $995. All-wheel drive will cost $1500.
Buick also announced that in the next 12 months, we'll see "significantly updated" Regal and LaCrosse sedans.
