2013 Range Rover Evoque Adds Lower-Priced Pure Trim to Lineup
New Model Trades Glass Roof for Aluminum, Starts at $2000 Less
Demand for the Range Rover Evoque doesn't seem to be an issue for the company, as the Halewood plant is already working around the clock to keep up with global demand. But the upscale compact SUV may get a few more buyers thanks to a new base trim level for 2013 that offers an aluminum roof in place of the formerly standard panoramic glass roof.
The new Pure model is available exclusively in the five-door configuration, and starts at $41,995, $2000 less than the Pure Plus model. The lowest-priced three-door Evoque Coupe model is the Pure Plus, which starts at $44,995. In addition to the metal roof, the new Pure model also features a leather and Dinamica synthetic suede interior. The higher-trim Dynamic and Prestige models cost $200 more than the outgoing 2012 models, with the Dynamic stickering for $51,695, and the Prestige going for $52,695.
In other changes to the 2013 lineup, the Evoque adds an optional park-assist feature and a special off-road navigation setting that adds topographic contour lines, latitude, longitude, altitude, trace, waypoint and compass functions. A contrast roof color is now available on all models, and the topline Prestige model gets a new wheel design. 2013 Evoque models can be spotted by a new black Land Rover logo in the grille.
In other 2013 Land Rover news, the 2013 Land Rover LR4 adds a Black Design package. Included in the package are 19- or 20-inch black-painted wheels, gloss black trim on the fender vents, grille, door handles, and mirror caps. The 2013 LR4 also gets five new color choices. The powertrain is the carryover 375 hp, 5.0-liter V-8 paired with a six-speed automatic.
