Priced: 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe to Cost $29,195, Loaded AWD Model at $38,595

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has been priced -- the seven-passenger crossover will start at $29,195 for the base front-drive GLS model when it arrives in dealerships by the end of February. The range-topping 2013 Santa Fe Limited model will carry a $33,945 MSRP, and adding all-wheel drive will cost an extra $1750 on both trims. Hyundai says the new crossover costs the same as the outgoing Veracruz, while adding more standard features.

All three-row 2013 Santa Fes come equipped with a 290-hp 3.3-liter V-6, unlike the shorter-wheelbase Santa Fe Sport, which offers a naturally aspirated 190-hp 2.4-liter I-4 or a turbocharged 264-hp 2.0-liter. A six-speed automatic is the only transmission option for the Santa Fe, which is rated at 5000 pounds towing capacity and EPA-estimated at 18/25 mpg city/highway for front-drive models, and 18/24 mpg with all-wheel drive.

Everything that comes standard in the Santa Fe Sport can also be found in the larger Santa Fe GLS including a standard power liftgate, 115V power outlet, 18-inch alloy wheels, stain-resistant cloth seats, Bluetooth connectivity, and a chrome-tipped dual exhaust system. GLS models get a second-row bench seat with 40/20/40 split-folding capability, while Santa Fe Limited models receive individual captain's chairs.

A Popular Equipment package for the Santa Fe GLS costs $950, and includes roof rails, fog lights, automatic headlights, heated mirrors and front seats, a power driver seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector knob. An optional Leather and Navigation Equipment package (requires the Popular Equipment package) for the GLS costs $4100, and adds in-mirror turn signal indicators, leather seats with heated second-row seats, dual-zone climate control, navigation with an eight-inch touch screen and rearview camera, a heated steering wheel, and power passenger seat.
The Limited model retains all the GLS' features and gets the Popular Equipment package as standard. In addition, the Limited model boasts 19-inch alloy wheels, power liftgate, proximity key and push-button start, leather seats, electroluminescent gauges with a color trip computer, and a 4.3-inch touch-screen audio display. The Limited Technology package costs $2900, and adds an eight-inch touch screen with navigation, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, rear window shades, and a 12-speaker, 550-watt Infinity Logic 7 audio system. At the top of the range, an all-wheel-drive 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with the Limited Technology package will cost $38,595.
