Range Rover Sport's Detailed Pricing on the SUV Was Released
You may not be able to buy a 2014 Range Rover Sport just yet, but that doesn't mean you have to wait to build your dream SUV.
When it goes on sale this summer, the Range Rover Sport pricing will start at $63,495. The SUV will be powered by a 340-horsepower, 332-pound-foot 3.0-liter supercharged V-6, mated to an eight-speed automatic. Models powered by the V-6 are available as base SE or mid-level HSE models, and the HSE starts at $68,495. For the most upscale Range Rover Sport, customers can add a 510-hp, 461-lb-ft, 5.0-liter supercharged V-8, in either Supercharged ($79,995) or Autobiography ($93,295) models.
Leather seats are standard, and SE customers can add a package that includes front and rear heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield for $2100. Also part of the package are foglamps and adaptive Xenon headlights with automatic high beams. Moving up to the HSE trim means new options: heated seats can be upgraded to heated/cooled seats, and you can add rear heated seats for $1980; another option is to get four heated/cooled seats (with individual HVAC zones) for $3545.
The optional Meridian sound system is a $1950 option on Range Rover Sport SE, HSE, and Supercharged models. The system includes a 19-speaker, 825-watt sound system. The Meridian system is standard on Autobiography models, but for those who want to go the next level of sound quality, there's another option: a 23-speaker, 1700-watt system, which costs $6300 on Supercharged and $4450 on Autobiography models. The Range Rover Sport comes standard with a single-speed transfer case, but you can step up to a two-speed transfer case, which is $1300 on V-6 models, a third-row seat ($2000 for just the seats, or $3100 for seats with an added zone for the automatic climate control).
The price of the base Range Rover Sport is higher than that of its base competitors, including the BMW X5 Premium ($56,095) and Porsche Cayenne ($53,575), but the $79,995 Supercharged model is much less expensive than its German competitors: the X5 M starts at $89,745, and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo will run you $111,375. (All prices include destination.)
So, what would you add to your dream Range Rover Sport?
