Toyota to Reveal 2014 4Runner at Stagecoach Country Music Festival
Toyota Releases Advance Teaser Shots
Toyota's line of crossovers and SUVs ranges from the on-road-biased, such as the Highlander, RAV4, and Venza, to off-roaders like the Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia, and 4Runner. Following the debut of the next Highlander, which was seen earlier this year at the New York auto show, Toyota is getting ready to introduce the 2014 Toyota 4Runner. The unveiling will be at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California, on Saturday, April 27. This is the first time Toyota has revealed a vehicle at a major music festival.
As you can see from the photos, the 4Runner receives a styling refresh. The taillights look more modern and more technical, while retaining the same basic size as before. While the rear end seems more angular, the front looks like it has gotten sportier. The headlight teaser shot shows new lighting elements, also making the nose look more modern and aggressive.
While we have to wait until Saturday to see what the new 4Runner will look like, we know the SUV, now in its fifth generation, will still be a body-on-frame vehicle. It has been on the market since the 1984 two-door went on sale, and the vehicle has gone through significant changes since then. These days, the 4Runner walks the line between comfortable on-roader and capable off-roader, and is currently offered in SR5, Limited, and Trail trim levels. The 4Runner will we revealed on a unique Toyota stage, with a performance by country recording artist, Dierks Bentley.
