Icon Toyota FJ44 Four-Door for Sale, Only $157,000

Get Yours New for Between $175-198,000

May 14, 2013
We've all seen the mouth-watering off-road hardware to come from Icon over the past few years. Jonathan Ward's numerous variations on the timeless Toyota FJ40 to impeccably reimagined classic Ford Broncos, are the stuff of off-road dreams. But this latest creation just might be our favorite. Icon's FJ44 is a four-door, four-seater variation on Toyota's classic.

This particular example, which is only lightly used with 2520 miles, has an equipment list that reads like an off-roader's dream come true. Powered by a 6.0-liter GM Vortec V-8 engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, the power hits the trail through an Atlas II transfer case. It's equipped with sport brakes, custom Icon billet pedals, ARB front and rear locking differentials, four-passenger heated seats, Mercedes-spec canvas soft top, LED front and rear auxiliary lighting, an off-road X-Jack, full-length roof rack with ladder, rear tube steps, and a 110-volt trickle charger.

Those of you familiar with Icon's vehicles know they fetch a premium, and the FJ44 is no different. This used example has an asking price of $157,000. A new, custom-built FJ44 would run $175,000-$198,000. Unless you're Middle Eastern royalty or otherwise a billionaire, the chances these vehicles will hit the rocks, trails, or dunes with the gusto their hardware endows them with is unlikely. But if you have the means and the interest, Icon is happy to oblige.
