Ram Continues Support of FFA With Scholarship Funding
Brand Working with Local Dealers in Scholarship Awards
Ram's "Farmer" Super Bowl 2013 ad had an outsized impact on viewers among the dozens of other humorous and formulaic slapstick spots run during the game. But Chrysler's truck brand's support of farmers and the FFA Organization (formerly Future Farmers of America) is going well beyond a one-time commercial tribute.
The Ram brand is funding 76 $1000 scholarships across the country for 2013, and is partnering with its local dealerships in awarding the scholarships. Ram is also sponsoring one $2500 national scholarship for FFA students pursuing post-secondary education. Chrysler and Ram have supported the FFA scholarship initiative for 29 years and have been involved with the organization for more than 60 years.
Ram donated $1 million to the National FFA Organization earlier this year after views of the "Farmer" ad spot on YouTube exceeded the pledged number, and is sponsoring a number of activities in conjunction with FFA in the Ram brand's "Year of the Farmer" campaign to increase awareness of American agriculture, farming families and communities, and hunger-relief efforts. More information on Ram's Year of the Farmer activities can be found at www.ramtrucks.com/keepplowing.
