Crimefighter 2012 Ford F-150 Batman Tribute Truck for Sale
Unique Custom Pickup Channels Spirit of Original Batmobile
Those who have even a passing familiarity with the American custom vehicle scene know the name George Barris, and almost everyone, from grandfathers to toddlers, knows his work. Barris was the creator of the original Batmobile in 1966, built in just two weeks under a rush order from the movie studio and based off a Ford Futura show car. The car has become as much of an icon of the comic book and movie world as the series' human stars, Adam West and Burt Ward.
Other Batmobiles have since been built, with menacing visages inspired by jet engines and tanks, but none has the classic, iconic look of the original, with its era-appropriate tailfins and space-inspired dual-canopy windscreen.
Hoping to keep the legacy of his 88 year-old grandfather alive, 24-year-old Jared Barris created the Crimefighter, a Batman-inspired 2012 Ford F-150 that has several cues from the original car to give it a one-of-a-kind look. Although the modifications are nowhere near as extensive as on the original Batmobile's, the Crimefighter is bound to turn heads, with its Tuxedo Black paint job highlighted by Ferrari Red accents, bedside tailfins, and custom grille design.
If you'd like to own this one-of-a-kind F-150, it's currently for sale. If you're interested in making it your own, contact Galpin Auto Sports online, or call 877-464-2746.
