Infiniti Announces Pricing for 2014 QX80, QX50 SUVs
$2500 Price Drop for QX50, No Change for QX80
Infiniti decided to rename its entire lineup for the 2014 model year, but trim and content changes are relatively minimal compared with last year's models. The 2014 QX80 (formerly QX56) keeps the same starting MSRP as the 2013 model at $62,345 for the rear-drive model and $65,445 for the all-wheel-drive model, including $995 destination.
On the 2014 QX50 model (formerly EX37) prices were actually cut $2500 across the board for all models. The entry-level rear-drive QX50 now starts at $35,435. Stepping up the the AWD model will set you back $36,795. The rear-drive Journey trim starts at $37,745, and the AWD Journey now starts at $39,145. All prices include $995 destination.
The (now) QX80 has been one of our favorite full-size luxury SUVs, skillfully combining power, capability, and refinement into a compelling package. The first-generation QX56 was based on the Nissan Armada full-size SUV and transitioned to the global Nissan Patrol platform for the 2011 model year. Along with the platform change, the 2011 model brought Nissan's direct-injected VK56VD 5.6-liter V-8 engine with 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The QX80 has a formidable maximum towing capacity of 8500 pounds.
