Update: Speed is Main Focus in Paul Walker Crash, Man Arrested

While several are still mourning over the death of actor Paul Walker, investigators are hard at work in trying to determine what caused the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT to crash into a light pole. Although investigators have ruled out drag racing, they do believe speed was a factor.
Police received a tip suggested there was a second car racing the red Porsche, but investigators have since ruled that out due to lack of evidence. Donut-shaped skid marks near the crash site are also being examined, though it's not confirmed they're related to Walker's crash. An enthusiast at the same charity event Walker attended claims to have heard a blast in the distance before the accident, stating that it "sounded like a tire blew."

Although there are still many questions to be answered, police had no doubt arresting a man who stole a piece of the wreckage off the tow truck hauling away the remains of the Carrera GT. The man openly posted photos of the Porsche's carbon fiber roof on Instagram, meaning he could be charged with grand theft and tampering with evidence. Although funeral plans have not yet been announced at the time of this writing, it's expected thousands of friends, family, and fans will be there to pay their last respects.
