2014 Acura MDX Recalled For Loose Drive Shaft Bolts

Erick AyapanaDec 13, 2013
Acura is recalling 19,197 model year 2014 Acura MDX crossovers equipped with all-wheel drive for a possible issue with drive shaft bolts.
The Problem: The drive shaft and the transmission transfer assembly are attached by bolts that may not have been properly tightened during production. The bolts and drive shaft could detach, causing noise, possible damage to the drivetrain, and an increased risk of an accident.
The Fix: American Honda Motor Co. will inspect and tightened the bolts free of charge.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Afffected: The recall affects 19,197 2014 Acura MDX crossovers built between May 6, 2013 and October 14, 2013 and equipped with the optional Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system.
