2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition Featured in New Ad Spot
Snow-Themed Commercial Natural Fit with Action Sports
Nothing goes along with snow, skiing, and snowboarding like a warm ski lodge, a cup of hot cocoa, and knit caps, except for a 4x4 SUV to get you there. So it's only natural that Jeep is a long-running sponsor of the X Games Aspen, with 2014 marking the 11th consecutive year of the brand being the exclusive automotive sponsor of the event.
In conjunction with the event, held last weekend, Jeep debuted its new commercial for the 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition, entitled "Mr. Ten Below." Using the song from the Warner Bros. animated holiday film "The Year without a Santa Claus," the spot shows the Wrangler powering through snow and ends with the tagline, "You'll never want to know a day over 40 degrees," play off a line in the song. The spot was created by Southfield, Michigan-based agency GlobalHue.
The Sahara-based Polar edition is one of several special trims of the Jeep Wrangler offered for 2014, including the Dragon, Altitude, and Moab Editions, and of course, the long-running Rubicon, which gets a special limited-edition X trim for 2014. The Polar Edition features special badging and graphics, 18-inch gloss black five-spoke alloy wheels, and an available eye-catching Hydro blue paint color.
