Dodge Journey to Get Crossroad Model For 2014
This Crossover Makes its Debut at the Chicago Auto Show
Dodge has lifted the drape off its newest vehicle: the Journey Crossroad. This model isn't as extreme at the R/T, but it does offer cool performance styling cues, such as unique front fascia, with Platinum Chrome accents and a Gloss Black surround; matching Gloss Black taillight bezels and surrounds for the foglights and dark, tinted headlights with black bezels; Platinum Chrome lower rear fascia; and Platinum Chrome roof rails and lower side sills. It also rides on Hyper Black 19-inch wheels. On the inside, this Journey gets its own black leather seats with sport mesh inserts and Light Slate Grey accent stitching, matching stitching throughout the cabin, appliques done in Liquid Graphite, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen in the center stack.
"The Journey has always been Dodge's Swiss Army knife in the CUV segment, and with the new Journey Crossroad, we are expanding that flexibility by now offering three different exterior appearances," said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO -- Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. "The Journey Crossroad's rugged styling gives it a tough presence on the road; the available all-wheel drive system gives it the capability to back it up in a variety of bad weather driving conditions."
This new model fits between the SXT and Limited model. It will come standard with the 2.4-liter, 173-hp I-4, and will be available with the 283-hp, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and AWD. It will come in Pitch Black, Bright Silver Metallic, White, Copperhead Pearl, Fathom Blue Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, Pearl White Tri-Coat, or Redline Red 2-coat Pearl. When it goes on sale this spring, it will have an MSRP of $25,990, including destination.
