VIDEO: 2017 Nissan Titan King Cab Completes Lineup

Third and Final Body Style On Sale Spring 2017

Feb 9, 2017
With the introduction of the Titan XD in 2016, Nissan made it clear it was making a full-fledged effort to be a legitimate player in the fullsize truck segment. Now we have the 1/2-ton Titan, as well as single-cab variants of both the Titan and Titan XD. The only missing configuration was the King (extended) Cab. Now, that hole has been filled, and the Titan and Titan XD lineup have the full complement of configurations. The King Cab will be offered in S, SV, and Pro-4X trims. The only variant now missing from the Titan lineup is the V-6 model, which Nissan promises is coming soon.
Both the Titan and Titan XD King Cab ride on a 139.8 inch wheelbase, the same as on the (non-XD) Titan single cab and crew cab. The XD crew cab rides on a unique 151.6-inch wheelbase pairing the crew cab configuration with a 6.5-foot bed. All King Cab models will have a 6.5-foot bed. As with the other cab and box configurations, the Titan comes standard with a 390hp 5.6L Endurance V-8 engine paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The XD is available with the Cummins 5.0L turbodiesel V-8 paired with an Aisin heavy-duty six-speed automatic.
Maximum payload for the Titan King Cab is 1,640 pounds for the 4x4 model, with a 9,420 maximum towing capacity. The maximum payload for the Titan XD King Cab is 2,290 pounds for the gas model and maximum towing of 12,510 pounds for the XD King Cab with the Cummins.
In a nod to Nissan’s strategy to promote the new Titan and XD toward commercial customers and fleets, the King Cab model is available with a rear seat delete option, giving generous covered, locked storage for customers that need it. The rear-hinged doors have a “wide-opening” feature allowing them to open nearly 180 degrees for easy access to the area behind the front row.
Like all other Titans, the King Cab is covered by Nissan’s class-exclusive 5-year, 100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. The King Cab will be available at Nissan dealers this spring.
