Chevrolet Adds Redline Edition to Most Models in Lineup
SEMA Concept Comes to Showroom
“Special Edition” trims have become all the rage lately and for good reason. Relatively minor changes in trim and colors can make otherwise run-of-the-mill models more desirable in the eyes of buyers and reduce the need for incentives and rebates. It’s a win-win for both the manufacturers, as well as customers looking for something more unique. Chevrolet has been rolling out a lot of these editions lately, especially in its Silverado and California truck lines. This time, the bowtie brand is offering the Redline trim first showcased at the 2015 SEMA Show across most of its car and truck lineup.
Among the models that will be offered with the Redline trim are the Silverado Double Cab LT Z71, Crew Cab LTZ Z71, Colorado LT, Trax and Equinox LT, and Traverse Premier. The Redline treatment will also be offered on the Cruze LT, Malibu LT, and Camaro LT and SS in coupe and convertible trims.
While specific trim and equipment vary by model, common Redline attributes are black wheels with red hash marks, blacked-out grilles, and black Chevrolet bowtie logos. The trim will be introduced on the Silverado, with the other models to follow. Orders for any of the models can be placed at Chevrolet dealers now.
