GMC Debuts New “Like A Pro” Ad Campaign, New 2018 Sierra Denali HD Grille – VIDEO
Updated Denali HD Visible in Sierra Spot
GMC is revamping its advertising presence with a new campaign, called “Like a Pro.”
Predictably, the brand’s new public persona cashes in on its products’ capability, luxury, and premium market positions. But GMC also used one of its new ads to debut the revamped 2018 Sierra Denali HD. Visible in the Sierra-specific version of “How Do You Want to Live” at 0:16, the Sierra HD features a new grille and updated styling, although it’s not clear what other updates the company will make to its flagship pickup.
In addition to the Sierra version, the company will also feature a longer, full-lineup version of “How Do You Want to Live,” which avers the brand’s positioning as a vehicle for those who aren’t content with adequacy, but instead live “like a boss, like a rebel, like a pro.” The ad features the Denali lineup exclusively, showing top-spec versions of the Yukon, Sierra, Acadia, and Terrain.
The campaign also includes an ad that will debut on Father’s Day, featuring a real-life father and son. Titled "Dad Like a Pro," it’s a cute spot that’ll lend an emotional element to the brand’s all-business identity, particularly given the fun surprise for both the son and the viewer at the end. The third ad in the series will focus on the Acadia’s seven-seat capacity, and it will air for the first time in July.
