Roush Performance 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Roush Adds Super Duty to Vehicle Offerings
When you think of Roush Performance and pickup trucks, your mind probably automatically recalls an F-150. And rightly so—previous specimens include the Roush F-150, Roush F-150 SC, Roush Nitemare, and Roush Raptor. The big news is that the F-150’s “big brother”—the Ford F-250 Super Duty (gasoline and diesel)—has joined the lineup of Roush offerings.
With 450 hp, 935 lb-ft of torque, and gobs of payload and towing capabilities provided by the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine, the 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty is a handsome workhorse—a stout beast poised for working hard and playing hard right off the dealership lot. Its looks, exuding confidence and pleasing to the eye, match its capabilities. The Roush touch adds the perfect touch—slightly bigger, slightly bolder, and the slight jump in sophistication that we’ve come to expect from vehicles touting Roush logos.
“Roush’s entry into the Super Duty market is a game-changer for drivers who crave an aggressive, no-compromise look,” said Taylor Bloor, vice president of global sales for Roush Performance. “The 2018 Roush Super Duty F-250 looks incredibly intimidating with an off-road stance and isn’t afraid to get dirty. It’s reliable, functional, and just plain cool.”
The 2018 Roush Super Duty F-250 includes performance and stylistic cues characteristically found on the Roush F-150, but of course tailored and scaled to the bigger truck. Some of the cool exterior additions incorporated into the base package include: Roush front grille; Roush front bumper cover; Roush body color-matched fender flares; Roush hood and tailgate graphics, windshield banner, and other body graphics; and Roush square “R” hitch cover. A Roush/Fox 2.0 Performance Series suspension system and 1.5-inch leveling kit, combined with Roush 20-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich KO2 325/60R20 tires, add an eloquently aggressive and well-mannered stance. Interestingly, pre-installed black and optional gray rim-guard nylon wheel rub rings are provided, allowing the owner to switch colors as desired. Performance wise, the Roush diesel Super Duty receives a Roush DPF-back exhaust system for a healthy rumble. Inside the cab, expect a Roush serialized console badge, Roush embroidered headrests, and Roush molded WeatherTech floor liners. Optional accessories include a console vault ($390) and Roush Off-Road Utility Kit full of recovery items ($195).
The Roush-ization of a new F-250 Super Duty is not for the paycheck-to-paycheck guy. The package starts at $13,880 on top of the base cost of the Super Duty and is covered by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
