A 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Fit for a Queen
A Truck That Works as Hard as Mom
Earlier this week, we asked you to submit pictures of mom’s truck or SUV, and we’re happy to highlight the submission below. Although we can’t take any more entries now, it’s never too late to thank the moms in your life for their hard work and dedication.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Mom’s Name: Judie Chaney
Her vehicle’s Year/Make/Model: 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ with a LMM Duramax
Mods: I know this is nothing fancy or mod’d very much, but this is my mom's daily driver. She drives it to work every day and on vacations, trips—everywhere. My parents bought it brand new in 2009, and it has about 187,000 miles with nothing more than some maintenance parts like thermostats and a couple of glow plugs. It is almost stock except for a Kennedy dual lift pump and filter combo and Bilstein 5100s. It has a B&W turnover ball and companion 5th-wheel hitch, LED bed lights, Westin 6-inch step bars, and a BakFlip tonneau cover. The radio died this year, and we got her a Pioneer in-dash DVD player to replace it. We are going to tune it very soon with a heavy tow tune and some other goodies. She takes good care of it, keeps it pretty clean inside and out, religiously checks the tires and rotates them (she is on her third set of the tires—they get at least 70,000 miles out of them), and has my dad and I do the maintenance. This is a picture when we first brought it home.
