Chevrolet Celebrates “Truck Legends” Second Anniversary at 2018 Texas State Fair
Chevrolet introduced its “Truck Legends” program, intended to honor long running and repeat Chevy truck owners, at the 2016 State Fair of Texas, and two years later, the program has 60,000 members.
Truck Legends is open to people who own a Chevy truck with more than 100,000 miles on the odometer or to people who have owned or leased more than one new Chevrolet truck before. The program includes several special perks, including complimentary auto show passes, a discount on GM accessories, and advance access to vehicle reveals and driving experiences.
For example, Chevrolet brought 30 Truck Legends members to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this summer for the first drive of the 2019 Silverado 1500, making them some of the first folks outside GM to sample the truck. Truck Legends members were also the first to see the 2019 Silverado 1500 in the flesh, when it was surprise-revealed at the Chevrolet Truck Centennial celebration in Dallas last year. The Silverado HD and its new-for-2017 445hp Duramax L5P engine were also revealed at an organization event.
Other perks for Truck Legends members have included meet-and-greets at Chevy race events, and some have even been featured in advertisements for the Truck Centennial.
The company promises more perks to come as the program continues to grow. Prospective members can learn more and sign up at the Chevrolet Truck Legends program website.
