Ford Introduces Black Appearance Package for Ranger
Black appearance packages for trucks are all the rage these days. Chevrolet has the Midnight Editions. Nissan also has its version of Midnight Black for the Titan, as well as its SUV lineup. Ford is joining the game with a Black Appearance Package for the new Ranger. The 2019 Ranger went on sale in January.
Features of the Black Appearance Package include a black painted grille on the truck. The bumpers are painted to match the body color. Black 18-inch aluminum wheels with black center caps help make the truck stand out. There are black running boards and a black vent surround. Of course the mirrors are black, along with the lower valance of the Ranger. Ford also adds a black sill plate.
“Like the rest of their gear, Ranger customers are choosing the option that best fits their adventures,” said Ford Truck Group Marketing Manager Todd Eckert.
The Black Appearance Package gives the 2019 Ford Ranger an aggressive look. Ford says two-thirds of the Ranger pickup trucks are leaving showroom floors with appearance packages. Some options available to customers include a sport package, which adds unique wheels to the truck, or a chrome package adding chrome body accents. The Black Appearance Package gives customers another customization option and will cost $1,995.
