Nissan Builds Ultimate Work Titan for Habitat for Humanity
Introducing the Titan of the Neighborhood
Nissan continues its Calling All TITANs campaign with the introduction of its Ultimate Work Titan. The project, which is the second of three builds to debut during the campaign, is a collaboration between Nissan, the Christian housing organization Habitat for Humanity, construction site supervisors, and volunteers. The first campaign build was the Ultimate Service Titan XD for the American Red Cross. If the campaign pattern continues, we can expect Nissan to partner with the National Park Foundation for the final build.
The Ultimate Work Titan is built upon a Nissan Titan XD diesel Crew Cab Midnight Edition and epitomizes three must-haves for construction site workers and volunteers: to be capable off-road, to feature an interior that doubles as a mobile office, and to have a work-ready bed with easy-to-access tools, ladders, and lockable storage. The finished product aims to benefit Habitat volunteers and workers.
Beneath the Ultimate Work Titan’s custom wrap is a plethora of functional mods that make the Nissan both cool and user-friendly. Starting with the wheels, tires, and suspension: Icon Alloys Rebound wheels are wrapped in 35x12.5R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, while a factory-authorized Icon 3-inch lift kit increases ground clearance. Purposeful exterior accessories include Addictive Desert Designs front and rear bumpers, a Warn Industries Zeon Platinum 12-S winch, Baja Designs lighting, Amp Research bedsteps, and Calmini fender flares.
The bed of the Ultimate Work Titan houses a wonderland of desirable goodies designed for safety and efficiency. Most noticeable are the TrailFX aluminum ladder racks outfitted with commercial grade ladders and the commercial class cargo boxes. Tucked within the bed are a Bedslide 2000 Heavy Duty , Decked lockable tool storage box, Zamp 200-watt power inverter, DeWalt tool kit, Rigid extension cords, air compressor, table saw, chop saw, chainsaw, drill kit, sawhorse, and all the tools one’s heart could desire.
It’s not all about what happens on the outside, though. The interior of the Ultimate Work Titan is outfitted to please the most organized and productive of supervisors with a 13-inch laptop secured by a Ram Mounts computer mount—and a printer. The party continues in the back seat with computer storage and a custom desk with an additional power inverter.
The Ultimate Work Titan was fittingly unveiled at the headquarters of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, and now it is on display at The Work Truck Show at the Indiana Convention Center. After its Indianapolis introduction, the truck will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, continuing Nissan’s long-standing relationship with Habitat for Humanity in which it has donated more than 150 trucks and contributed $16.9 million in support since 2005.
