Where to See the Latest Automotive Innovations at SEMA in One Place

One of the most important elements of the Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the new products on display. SEMA provides manufactures an all-encompassing automotive show where they can display the innovative and creative new products they have developed to thousands of prospective buyers and enthusiasts. With the huge draw of people to the show floor, most manufactures display their new wares in their booths next to enduring products for entrants to peruse. The problem is that it is not always easy to locate new items among all the show's extravagance, products, and countless attendees.
So, to help exhibiting manufactures better promote their new products and provide more exposure to prospective buyers and media (who may find it hard to locate things in the organized chaos on the show floor) the Specialty Equipment Market Association developed an area where these items can be properly displayed for all to see—the New Product Showcase.
Photo 2/7   |   The New Products Showcase is not just a random assortment of parts laid out on tables in an arbitrary fashion. Every part has been logged and categorized in SEMA's computer system for easy reference and displayed in an area with like products.
Dubbed "The World's Largest Collection of Automotive Innovation," the New Products Showcase is just that, a collection of roughly 3,000 new products from different exhibitors on display in a unique presenting area of the show. Located upstairs between the Convention Centers Central Hall and South Hall on the Skybridge, the Showcase area takes up two large rooms filled with hundreds of display cases and tables. There are also a few items displayed on the Skybridge walkway. The cases and tables are stuffed with products from every genre of automotive aftermarket manufacturing imaginable.
Along with giving attendees a glimpse of new merchandise in one area, the New Products Showcase allows them to find out more about a given product or products by scanning the barcodes assigned to each. Barcode scanning is done by a handheld scan tool (or a cell phone via the SEMA app). Once done investigating the area with the scanner, a printout of all the scanned items can be retrieved. With the cell phone app, all the items are stored in the app. This info helps track down an exhibiting company's booth location on the floor and provides their contact information so more information about their offerings can be gathered from knowledgeable staff. The Showcase also provides exhibitors with a list of attendee names who scanned their products in the display area, which allows them the opportunity to follow up and build relations with possible customers.
