Want an affordable, safe way to more than double your 7.3L's horsepower?

 First things first, start off with a manual transmission truck that's already been upgraded with a single disc South Bend clutch (OK, going forward I will be serious). 

 Next, replace the stock injectors with Stage 1.5's from Unlimited Diesel, swap out the stock 60mm turbo and pedestal for a Super 66 charger with EBPV delete and a blank (EBPV-free) pedestal, ditch the tired factory high-pressure oil pump for an Adrenaline unit from DieselSite, add Riff Raff Diesel's fuel rail crossover to the back of the heads and swap regulator springs to the supplied 62-65 psi version, and throw a custom-tuned TS Performance six-position chip from Gearhead Automotive Performance into the mix. And then, call it a day.

This is all in the spirit of the August issue--the budget issue. We'll be pumping up the power on an early '99 Power Stroke, taking it from less than 200-rwhp to 400 in a day, and giving you the complete power recipe.
