Ever dyno'd low then kicked butt at the dragstrip? This truck did...

Well, in reverse order, but nevertheless it happened. After clicking off a 12.6-second quarter-mile at 107 mph in a custom street tune, Tommy Barnes' '07 F-250 made just 577-rwhp the following day on a DynoJet, and on a custom tune that should've yielded numbers in the upper 600's. He believes the added fuel of the bigger tune actually ended up hurting his numbers, and we tend to believe him being that the 6.0L Power Stroke has dual high-pressure oil pumps and large 285/150 injectors, yet a relatively small (for this oil and fuel combo) 68mm Powermax turbo.

Either way, the dragstrip is the ultimate dyno, so those numbers are what truly matter. And at 8,400 pounds, the hefty 6.0L Super Duty is planting just shy of 700-rwhp to the pavement.
