Chevrolet Brings Back Midnight and Rally Editions to 2020 Silverado 1500
Chevrolet has brought back its two most popular special editions to the 2020 Silverado 1500—the Midnight and Rally editions were unveiled at the State Fair of Texas.
The Silverado Midnight edition is available in the LT Trail Boss and Custom Trail Boss trim levels. It features a 2-inch factory suspension lift, the Z71 Off Road Package, Rancho mono-tube shocks, an automatic locking rear differential, and skidplates. The package also includes 18-inch painted black wheels with Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires. The Midnight Edition gets black Silverado badging, a black grille, black bowties, black bumpers, black exhaust tips, and black off-road assist steps. The truck is accented with red recovery hooks.
Power options for the Custom Trail Boss Midnight edition include the 5.3L V-8 engine with the 6-speed automatic transmission or the 6.2L V-8 offering with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The LT Trail Boss Midnight edition comes exclusively with the 6.2L V-8 engine with the 10-speed automatic transmission. The LT also gets high intensity LED headlamps with dark bezels and full-curtain signature daytime running lamps.
The Silverado Rally Edition is offered in the Custom and RST trim levels. It features a sporty look with available colors including Black, Red Hot Silver Ice Metallic, and Summit White. The truck features a body-colored grille and black rally stripes on the hood. Chevrolet is also painted in black on the tailgate. Black badging along with black bowties and black exhaust tips are found on the truck.
The Custom Rally edition also features 20-inch black painted wheels. Its powerplant includes the 2.7L turbo engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The RST Rally Edition has 22-inch black painted wheels and comes with three powertrain options . Customers can choose between the 2.7L or 5.3L V-8 with the 8-speed automatic transmission, or 6.2L V-8 with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
"Customer choice is a competitive advantage for Chevrolet, because no two truck drivers are alike," said Mark Sobczynski, Silverado marketing manager. "Whether it's the sinister Midnight Edition or a sporty Rally Edition—special editions offer our customers a custom look direct from the factory that fits their unique personality."
The 2020 Silverado Midnight and Rally editions will be available for order next month at local dealerships. Deliveries will begin later this year.
