Ford Expands Diesel Availability to F-150 XLT
There is good news for diesel lovers. The Ford F-150 XLT now has a diesel engine option. Previously, the diesel option was only available on Ford's higher trim levels such as the Lariat, Platinum, and King Ranch. The V-6 3.0L Ford Power Stroke engine can now be had on the 2019 XLT, and it's available today. Ford made the diesel engine available to the XLT models after customers told the company exactly what they wanted.
Buyers must go for the 302A package on the truck. According to Ford, this is the most popular package when buyers are looking for an XLT. Adding the diesel option brings the cost of the truck to $46,255 with destination included. Configurations include the SuperCab and SuperCrew. Unfortunately, Ford says the diesel option will not be available on the long-wheelbase regular cab truck.
