Since treating our Jeep Liberty CRD to a set of General Grabber HTS tires, its fuel economy is up...

Prior to adding the low rolling resistance tread, the little diesel Jeep was seeing a 26.3 mpg average in mixed city and highway driving (about a 40/60 split). So far with the HTS Grabbers, the same route conditions are yielding an average of 27.2 mpg, nearly a 1-mpg increase by simply changing tires...

In November, we'll be heading out on a cross-country, 4,000-mile road trip where we'll try to break the Jeep's best highway mark of 34.1 mpg. With the mixed driving numbers we've recorded so far, we think it's definitely possible to see 35 mpg or more out on the open road. Stay tuned.
