Do you have an older Land Rover Defender 90 or 110? Land Rover Classic just announced a range of upgrades for your vehicle. While we all wait for the 2020 Land Rover Defender to be unveiled this fall, the upgrades are a perfect way to refresh the older vehicles. Land Rover's upgrades are inspired by the limited edition 70th Anniversary Defender Works V8.

Diamond-turned 18-inch Sawtooth Alloy wheels are now available for Defender models built in 1994 and later. A suspension upgrade kit is available for the 2007 models, tailored for on-road comfort. It includes revised coil spring rates, dampers, anti-roll bars, links, and bushings. The handling kit upgrade adds Works V8 specification brake discs, pads, and calipers, along with the Sawtooth Alloy wheels.

If you own a 2.2L TDCi model, which began production in 2012, a special Defender Classic Works kit is available for your vehicle. The Classic Works kit includes special badging on the front wings, an owners certificate, and a health check. Wheels, brakes, and suspension are upgraded. The vehicle will also receive an engine upgrade with an additional 40 hp and 341 lb-ft of torque output. If you are keeping score at home, the total horsepower output is at 160 with the upgrade. New performance tires are also added. With all of these upgrades, you can push your Defender to 106 mph. A tour of Land Rover's Classic Works (UK or Essen) Germany facility is also included. Your upgrade will be carried out at one of these locations, so if you live outside of the UK, the only way to get the Classic Works kit is to have your vehicle shipped.

The other upgrade options and kits will be available through your local Land Rover dealer. Most of the upgrade options fit Defenders built from 1994 through 2016. Cost for the wheels are $525 each. Suspension rings in at $2,230 for the Defender 90 and $2,749 for the 110. Customers wanting the full Classic Works package will shell out $20,685.
