Ford Edge
Top-Ten Finisher
What It Is
Fordis attempt to hit the crossover sweet spot with a sideways-mounted V-6, plenty of interior space, and a carlike ride.
What You Should Know
We'll have to see if the wide-bodied, snub-nosed station wagons are going to be the next big thing, but from Ford's shot at the target, It's going to be tough to hit the bullis-eye. Fine in a straight line, but ride and handling dynamics are for people who donit like to drive. Not sure this is going to help Fordis problems.
Bottom Line
Some clever details and options, but they forgot to make it fun to drive.
